2023 will go down in history as the year of florals, office-chic and Barbiecore. The world of fashion embraced all the pink and took a chance on some adventurous styles that rocked the runway. It should come as no surprise that the 2024 fashion forecast is equally fabulous. Whether you’re looking to expand your wardrobe or simply stay in the know, keep scrolling for some of my favorite on-deck trends.

Fiercely Feminine

Shout to Margot Robbie for pioneering the girl-power movement. One of my favorite trends of the year is giving glamorous and girly. That’s right, pink is going nowhere fast. Along with Barbie’s favorite color, we’re seeing bows, lace, A-line silhouettes and all things feminine. If pink isn’t your favorite shade (don’t worry, we still love you), opt for classic neutrals like this Navy Twist and shout for a time-capsule-wardrobe piece that still screams “Girl Boss.”

Mermaidcore

Yes, I spelled that correctly! Barbiecore isn’t the only trend making a comeback. This season, Mermaidcore styles include oversized statement pieces that you might find “under the sea.” I’m talking about gold-plated seashells, pearls and shark teeth (thankfully, the fish-scale tails are not hitting the swim-way). I love any and all things Sophia C. Carefully crafted in the rainbow state of Hawaii, these mermaid-inspired pieces are sure to shine by land or by sea.

Maximalism

For years, the fashion industry has been dominated by minimalist styles, neutral colors and subtle patterns. Well, gone are the days of “less is more.” 2024 styles suggest that perhaps, more is more; featuring patterns-on-patterns, bright colors and luxurious fabrics. New to the world of pattern pairing? Start with a mono-print set like the Moonlit Collection for a look that’s both fashion-forward and timeless.
