Festive about Fall | 3 Fall Activities to Embrace the Season

  • Fall activities
  • Have a bonfire
  • Watch football
  • Refresh your wardrobe
  • What to do during the Fall?

The air is crisp and the leaves are crispier–Fall has arrived. If you’re sulking over the sunshine (Florida baby here!) I'm here to sell you on my new favorite season *drumroll please.* Pumpkin patches, pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie, pumpkin donuts and pumpkin carving. Sure, I could keep going but you get what I’m saying, Fall might as well be dubbed “Pumpkin Season.” But if you’re not piling on the pumpkin, you might be wondering how else to embrace this time of year. Grab a warm beverage and read along!

Backyard Bonfire

Fall is the perfect time of year to enjoy the weather outside, roast some marshmallows over a fire and look for shooting stars in the sky. Whether you’re planning an intimate date for two or hosting a group friends, a *safe* backyard bonfire is the perfect to-do. Grab some cozy blankets, comfortable chairs and warm cider for a night of memory-making. For the host with the most, really lean into the season with hay bales for extra-seating and lanterns (or string lights) for extra light.

Fall Football Anyone?

Fall is the perfect time for a football party, even if you don’t know the difference between a punt and a pocket (it’s okay, me neither). This season is the perfect reason to gather friends, decorate and celebrate.

Pro tip: you can’t be disappointed if you’re rooting for both teams–go sports!

Whether you’re goo-goo for the game or there for the snacks there’s a little something for everyone. Turn on the game, turn up the volume and ask your friends to wear their team’s colors (only loving rivalries here). Embrace the decor with Football Field Table Runner and some touchdown-worthy tailgate food.

Wardrobe Refresh

As the leaves begin to turn, it might be time to shake off your own “foliage.” Fall is a season of change and what better time to apply that change to your closet? With cooler weather rolling in, it’s out with tanks and in with knits. While you’re sectioning out your wardrobe, take the time to put aside items that no longer fit, that you no longer wear or items with stains/rips. When you’re done, you’ll have a refreshed wardrobe full of things you love with plenty of room for new additions during *sale season* (looking at you, Cyber Monday).
